National AT Awareness Day

April 22nd is

National AT Awareness Day!

National Assistive Technology (AT) Awareness Day recognizes the essential role assistive technology plays in the daily lives of people with disabilities and older adults. These tools help people learn, work, communicate, and live independently in their communities. This day highlights the importance of continued federal support and funding so that everyone who needs assistive technology can access it. Assistive technology is not a luxury—it is a necessity that opens doors to education, employment, and full participation in community life.

Communication is a fundamental right, but the high cost of speech communication devices can often be a barrier to connection. Our High Tech Assistive Technology Reuse program is here to bridge that gap.

We offer a selection of gently used, high-quality communication devices—from basic dedicated tablets to advanced eye-gaze systems—at no charge. By choosing "re-homed" technology, you aren’t just saving money; you’re giving these powerful tools a second life and ensuring someone gets heard.

What’s available?

  • High-Tech AAC Devices: Tablets pre-loaded with industry-standard communication software.
  • Low-Tech AAC: Programmable buttons with levels for multi-message storage.
  • Simple Digitized Devices: Easy-to-use "go-talk" buttons for quick interactions.

Ready to find the right fit?

All devices are sanitized, cleared of previous data, and tested to ensure they are ready for their next chapter.

Don't let the conversation stop—let’s keep talking, one device at a time.
