Be a kitten foster volunteer lifesaver!
Kitten season is the time of year when unspayed female cats have most of their kittens, and the season generally stretches from May to November. Newborn kittens are the most at-risk animals entering shelters.
We’re always looking for foster volunteers who can care for bottle baby kittens -- kittens who are learning to eat on their own -- as well as sick kittens and moms with kittens. Help save the lives of these vulnerable felines. Complete the foster application and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
LA Animal Services provides kitten foster volunteers with items needed to help you care for your foster furry bundle, including: carrier, formula, heating pad/disc, bottles, pillow toy, and blankets for newborns (less than two-weeks-old) to toys, bowls, and litter and litter boxes for transitional (three- to five-weeks- old) or self-sustaining kittens (six- to eight-weeks-old).
