Hi Hoboken!

It's that time of the year again - National Library Week!

To kick off the festivities, we are excited to announce our Library Card Contest beginning Monday, April 8! We're inviting all Hoboken residents ages 5+ to showcase their creativity by submitting an original design, in one of three categories, for our new special edition library cards! Participating in this fun opportunity is easy - learn more and enter the contest by clicking here.

We will be hosting a Welcome Back BookBike Party in Church Square Park on Thursday, April 11 from 3-5pm. Join us in celebrating its return with a special story time, music, crafts, and of course, books! The 2024 BookBike season also kicks off on Thursday, April 18 with our weekly scheduled visits at Elysian Park and BookBike Artful Adventures at Columbus Park.

As we celebrate this special week, we want to remind everyone why the freedom to read is so important. Hoboken Public Library is proud to be the first book sanctuary in New Jersey, where people can exercise their intellectual freedom and the right to read. Join us this National Library Week as we celebrate the magic of reading and the resources that await you at your local library! And remember, reading is not just a way of life, it's a fundamental right.

Regards,

Jennie Pu

Library Director

The BookBike is BACK!!!

Join us in Church Square Park from 3-5 PM to welcome back our BookBike. Get a library card, check out books, and enjoy the first outdoor story time of 2024! Plus, make your own BookBike buttons, and play with chalk and bubbles. All ages welcome.
