It’s our 9th Anniversary Celebration and Sale and we’re celebrating you - our precious community. We’ll share reflections from Mindy and details on the anniversary festivities. The event will look different this year, as we prioritize your safety, and we hope it will retain the feel of a true celebration. You’ll find our complete event agenda with registration links below. Anniversary Thoughts from Mindy
When I opened A Yarn Less Raveled in November 2011, it was with the vision of a thriving, creative, supportive community, sitting around our antique table, sharing project ideas, talking about yarn and life and building friendships. It was also built with the support and involvement of my community of friends and family. That vision became a reality which far exceeded my imagination with friendships, inspiration, laughter, support, and all the connections that have carried us through nine years of being a part of the community.
As I reflect back over the past nine months of the pandemic, I’ve seen our yarn community continue to come together, even without the physical antique table and the walls of yarn as our centerpiece. Many of you have reached out to check on and connect with us and each other. You have continued to shop with us, visit during appointments, shop by email, Zoom, and through our new online shop, for which I am truly grateful.
Nine years as a small business owner has taught me so much, especially resilience and compassion. We are all experiencing this pandemic differently, yet we are also bonded through our love of yarn and fiber crafts, and the comfort they can bring. I appreciate your patience as we pivot and adjust, as we find ways to maintain, support, and expand our community of knitters and crocheters through technology like Zoom and our still-growing online shop.
My staff and I miss you, our in-person visits, and want everyone to stay healthy and safe, so we are making business choices to support that. We hold onto the hope that we’ll all be able to reconnect in person around our antique table again soon.
Until then, we’ve planned our 9th Anniversary Celebration and Sale to span nine days, from Friday, December 4 through Saturday, December 12. We’ll offer several ways to shop and find your holiday gifts and yarn for your next project, and opportunities to connect as a community!
We need your support now more than ever. We know you have many online options for your yarn and notion purchases, and every purchase you make with us helps ensure we’ll be here to welcome you back in the shop when we are able to fully open again.
