When you speak to an engineer, agility could refer to a methodology that applies to the way teams release product, moving away from waterfall delivery to much shorter "sprints." When you speak to business leaders, agility means the ability to be responsive, adapting to market changes both internally and externally. Recap: Effective Project Management

On November 20th, John Bowen, a Senior Consultant and Executive Speaker for CXO gave an amazing talk on effective project management. He shared insights on how successful projects are led, not managed. He shared examples of root causes of project failures, revealing that a lack of senior project management support and that their involvement in projects is about people and not things. He specified that every young project manager should be mentored by a more senior project manager to help ensure their effectiveness. It was an awesome presentation and a packed house.
