Eleven years ago the U.S. Senates unanimous approval and designation of a week in June as  National Pollinator Week  marked a necessary step toward addressing the urgent issue of declining pollinator populations. Pollinator Week has now grown into an international celebration of the valuable ecosystem services provided by bees, birds, butterflies, bats and beetles. This week, June 18-24 is Pollinator Week this year.
As lovers of nature and appreciators of all the important work bees do in the landscape, we have installed bee hives at all three of our offices. Even cooler: we have purchased our hives at the last 3 years Community Action Fundraising event " Kaleidoscope" .
As we started our beekeeping operation, several of our team jumped in to help. Our Mechanic Charles Cruz is our beekeeper in Hillsboro, Construction Field Manager Lalo Marin is our beekeeper in Sherwood, and Account Manager Mina Szkodyn is our beekeeper in Parkrose.
