Celebrate Public Power Week With Us
This year's Public Power Week is October 2-8, and we want to celebrate with you!

We are inviting customers to join us at the Columbia County Fairgrounds Pavilion on Tuesday, October 4, for our annual Customer Appreciation Dinner. We are returning to a sit-down dinner after two years of drive-through dinners.

The dinner is free, but you must have a ticket. Tickets will be limited to 500. You may pick one up at our office.
Prepare Your Home for Winter Weather
While winter is still a few months away, we want to help you prepare your home for the chilly weather well ahead of time.

By making a few improvements, you can maximize your home's winter-time energy savings.

These tips can help you identify ways to keep your energy costs down in the winter.
Help Save a Life by Donating Blood at the PUD
We are hosting an American Red Cross blood drive on Monday, October 10.

Schedule your appointment online today, or by calling the Red Cross at 1-800-RED-CROSS.
Give the Gift of Warmth and Light
You can help provide emergency bill payment assistance to income-qualified PUD customers by entering to win this beautiful, handmade quilt.

The Columbia River Piecemakers Quilt Guild donated this queen-sized quilt with an approximate value of $2,400 to be raffled. All raffle proceeds will go to our GLOW Fund.

Raffle tickets are available in our office for $1 apiece or six for $5. The winning ticket will be drawn at the Quilt Guild's Quilt Show on September 18.
September is National Preparedness Month
It is important to plan ahead for natural disasters and power outages. September is National Preparedness Month, the perfect time to create an emergency plan for your family.

If you don't have an emergency plan already established, now is a good time to create one.
CRPUD Rates Remain Lower than Averages
We work hard to keep your rates stable and affordable. Thanks in large part to low-cost, reliable hydropower, our residential rates are nearly 40% lower than the national average.

They are 25% lower than the statewide average, and 36% lower than the rates of PGE, which served this area before us. When we began serving customers in 1984, our Board of Directors pledged to charge rates at least 5% below those of PGE. We are proud to be able to continue exceeding that promise.
