Celebrate REALTIST Week
Message from the President
Realtist

Once, every year in April, the NAREB family comes together to observe and celebrate ourselves and our continued commitment to  Democracy in Housing.   Our motto is time-honored and represents Realtists’ dedication to equality, opportunity and our struggle for 73 years to ensure affordable homeownership for Black Americans. We are proud warriors on a mission to overcome any barrier standing in our way.

This year is no different. The times and circumstances resulting from the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic necessitate an alteration of NAREB’s normal and customary activities. Nevertheless, we are flexible enough, inventive enough, and dedicated enough to plan an exciting series of Realtist Week programs designed to  Educate…Empower… Mobilize   our members and our community. Increasing Black homeownership is our goal and that’s exactly what the programs reflect.

Take a moment to review the schedule below. Note the dates on your calendar to be in front of your computer screen, iPad, or phone to join in with your peers to learn, listen, share, and plan for the “new normal” environment and how we make homeownership a real prospect for Black Americans.

In closing, I extend sincere wishes for your continued good health and patience as we all weather this pandemic storm. I also offer prayers to your family, friends and associates for healing if the virus touched any one of them. We should all extend a word of thanks to Realtist Miranda Morrow, our 2020 Realtist Week chair and her committee for their perseverance and vision. Realtist Week is a Go!

In the Realtist spirit,

Donnell Williams
President
Miranda Morrow
2020 Realtist Week Chair
Realtist Week is a very Special week for Realtists all over the United States. President Donnell Williams could not have said it any better,  " Realtist Week is like Christmas to Realtists." Realtist Week is a time of celebration with activities occurring simultaneously with all the local boards throughout the United States. Realtist Week gives the local boards many opportunities for growth within ourselves, the local board, and the community...we build relationships, bond, pray together, educate self, the community and political leaders, stakeholders with all the events that we partake in. The engagement that Realtist Week brings is phenomenal, as one another in their local boards work together to bring clarity and visibility of their vision and mission that will assist and support their business in the real estate industry and the communities we serve.  Realtists will  Educate…Empower…Mobilize.

Realtist Week will be broadcast via webinars, April 19th-25th so watch out for updated information from National.  We will not participate in any public events due to the unforeseen circumstances of the pandemic. Realtists must continue to carry the torch and be the leaders that we were called to be in 1947. We must adjust and adapt to the current situation to continue giving support to the African American community. Please adjust and Tune In to N.A.R.E.B Realtist Week Webinars.

Yours In NAREB,

Miranda Morrow
