When it comes to enjoying all that springtime has to offer, look no further than Stockbridge, MA. Stockbridge, known for its historic charm, is the home to a plethora of activities, adventures, art & culture, shops and culinary delights. Opening in April is the annual Daffodil & Tulip Festival  in #StockbridgeMA. After months of careful planning and work by the Trustees Horticulture and Stewardship Teams, Naumkeag invites you to wander Naumkeag’s hillside gardens as they welcome spring in the BerkshiresOpen Thursdays–Sundays from April 18–May 11.

An exciting NEW annual event is taking place at the Berkshire Botanical Garden this year. Spring Fest will be held Sunday, May 4. Admission to the Garden is free all day, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors can stroll the 24-acre grounds, enjoy the spring blooming bulbs and trees, visit the Visitor Center Gift Shop, and attend the Horticulture Certificate Program graduation, followed by a reception hosted by the Herb Associates. The day also includes plenty of kids’ activities. There will be horseback rides, face painting and lawn games, including a traditional Maypole dance. The award-winning arts ensemble Arm-of-the-Sea Theater will perform in their outdoor amphitheater, from 1 to 2 p.m. This is a ticketed event (CHILDREN under 12 are FREE. Through live music, puppets and masks, the theater company will explore relations between humans and the life-support networks of the planet.

Things to Do This Spring

The Berkshires has an incredible amount to do, see and experience. The Berkshire Theatre Group will present, The Elephant Man, May 28-June 15 at The Unicorn Theatre, Stockbridge, MA. I Spy: Walter Wick’s Hidden Wonders, opens June 7 - October 26 at the Norman Rockwell Museum, Stockbridge, MA and Paginations—Bold by Design: Mid-century Modern Graphic Art will open at the Clark, May 20–September 21, Williamstown, MA. On Saturday, April 5, acclaimed saxophonist, clarinetist, and composer Paquito D’Rivera will bring his virtuosity to the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center in Great Barrington, MA.

Sculpture at the Mount runs May 24–October 19 and features works of contemporary outdoor sculpture in a range of media throughout the woods, gardens, and grounds of The Mount, Lenox, MA. Celebrate the Easter season with a unique opportunity to learn a time-honored Eastern European craft. Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum, Lenox, MA, will offer its annual Slavic Easter egg decorating demonstrations and instructional workshops on five dates in April.
