Honeygirl Meadery
Honeygirl Meadery is a small urban meadery in downtown Durham, making an ancient craft beverage for modern days. Mead is essentially wine made from honey, with many different styles that include additions of fruits, flowers and herbs. Our meads are hand-crafted libations made in small batches, using both local and global true source honey, local fruits, herbs and flowers. They are naturally gluten free. Our downtown Durham Tasting Room is open on Fridays from 3-7 pm, Saturdays from 1-6 pm and Sundays from 1-5 pm.

This week we will be sampling: our Hibiscus Lemonthyme Mead, floral, earthy and herbal dry-style mead with NC wildflower honey, dried hibiscus petals and fresh lemonthyme.

We will also be sampling our Honey Chai Mead, like a warm mug of chai tea, our Honey Chai Mead is a loaded infusion of exotic spices, mingled with honey. Smooth, semi-sweet, and especially comforting in chilly months.

And we will also be sampling our Strawbanero Mead, a lightly sweet mead with fresh strawberries and a spicy kick. Fermented with NC strawberries, wildflower honey and infused with habanero peppers to bring a little heat.

We will also have bottles available of our Mango Habanero Mead, a lightly sweet mead made with mangos and habanero peppers.; and our Spiced Apple Cyser Mead, like apple pie in a glass, made with NC wildflower honey, spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

The Spicy Hermit
T he Spicy Hermit crafts traditional and seasonal kimchi using fresh produce from local farms (including those at Durham Farmers Market!) and time-honored fermentation methods. What is kimchi? Simply put, kimchi is a delicious product resulting from seemingly magical alchemy of vegetables and spices. All kimchi from The Spicy Hermit is raw, gluten-free, and vegan, and manufactured at each produce's seasonal peak.

We'll have green cabbage and napa cabbage. Use fermented foods to help you digest as well as add depth of flavor to dishes, such as dips, sauces, or even soups.

Eunice Chang
Melina's Fresh Pasta
We will be at market this Saturday with a variety of fresh pasta! We
have three seasonal ravioli flavors - Artichoke, Cheese Pizza, and
Muffaletta! Or pick up one of our take-and-bake lasagnas for an easy and delicious meal.

Terra Clotha
There's a lot you can put in a bag. Our hand-dyed cotton bags can hold a weekend's worth of groceries. And they can hold other things: Tennis balls. Art supplies. That screenplay you've been working on in  your spare time. Cats (but don't let them out). Magic swords. The Complete Works of Fergus McGee (Profusely Annotated for the Modern Reader). Crisp stacks of non-sequential twenty-dollar bills. Various kinds of modestly sized electronic equipment. And when you're finished, these bags fold up into their own little pocket. And then you can put the bag into your pocket.

Hand-dyed bags from Terra Clotha. Colorful. Versatile.

Catbriar Farm
We are enjoying beautiful weather! Sunshine and breezes are working together to begin to dry out our extremely wet fields. We will bring turnip greens and mustard greens, sweet potatoes and turnips. You can choose from coolers full of our USDA inspected Angus Beef and homemade soups. Don't forget to pick up some cayenne or paprika pepper powder. We will also bring Pussy Willows and daffodils to brighten up your home.

Chapel Hill Creamery
We're excited that spring is coming! The cows have started grazing some and calves are being born- six so far (see pictures on our Instagram or Facebook). The spring grass is the most plentiful in N.C. and we enjoy seeing the cows lining up to enter their next paddock to get to more grass. Get the cheese meat on Saturday whether you are getting out doors or watching lots of basketball.

Paneer is available this Saturday; traditionally it is gently fried and added to vegetables or curries. Cook fresh, delicious greens sautéed with Indian spices and cream for Saag Paneer, make peas and cheese (Mattar Paneer), or add to cooked carrots.

Other cheeses are fresh Dairyland Farmers, Hot Farmers, Hickory Grove, 10 month old Calvander, and Carolina Moon. Our cheeses are each distinctive, from fresh to aged and soft to firm; ask for a sample or serving suggestions if there's one you haven't had. Our Dairyland Farmers and Hickory Grove melt well for omelets or grilled cheese sandwiches, Calvander is wonderful for spaghetti, quiche and salads, and Carolina Moon is perfect for an appetizer all by itself with crackers or a baguette.

We have delicious ground beef on sale this weekend for $5.00/pound so that you can cook it for cheeseburgers with our Hickory Grove cheese, chili, or tacos. Jersey meat gets high rating for flavor and tenderness and we think you'll enjoy it.

Pork chops, spare ribs, bacon, and ground pork are available. Sausages includes Mild and Hot Italian, Bratwurst, Polish, Chorizo, Mild and Hot Breakfast, and Sage and Maple Links and Smoked Andouille. Choose your favorite and have a good weekend.
