The Alchemist & Barrister Celebrates Summer Beers
And the Craftsmen Who Brew Them,
August 4th, 2015 from 9 PM until 1 AM
Princeton, July 22-----When the sun goes down on August 4, the
Alchemist & Barrister will light up with The Alchemist After Dark, a special celebration of the beers of summer and the craftsmen who brew them. The event is set on August 4 from 9 PM until 1 AM closing.
| Spellbound Brewing of Mount Holly will be on hand to showcase their flagship beer, IPA. Also on tap will be Shock Top Lemon Shandy at $5 each. The A&B's own Sangria will be offered at $5 a glass as well, and shooters are priced at $2. Musician Mike Tusay will play throughout the evening.
With 50 fine beers now on tap and a striking
second bar recently added, the A&B is taking
the craft beer trend to new levels, offering artisanal brews, several from here in the
Garden State.
The growing selection of international beers goes perfectly with the A&B's cosmopolitan, eclectic menu and new selection of bar snacks. Executive Chef/Owner, Arthur Kukoda, has introduced many new dishes to the American menu with Irish, Asian and Latin American specialties. |

"August is the ideal month to give our patrons a taste of the most refreshing and innovative summer beers," says Arthur Kukoda. "We also want to celebrate our industry partners, the craftsmen who brew them." The evening is also planned so that many of Princeton's bartenders and servers,who usually have Tuesday nights free, can enjoy a special night off at the A&B.

Craving a Cold One - The Beers of Summer
The Beers of Summer are flowing at the A&B, including two specially chosen craft brews for the Alchemist After Dark event.
 Spellbound Brewing's IPA (India Pale Ale) blends six different American hops with a malty backbone for a bright citrus and pine hop character and aggressive aroma that's perfect for summer.

A refreshing summer beer, Shock Top Lemon Shandy is brewed by the Shock Top Brewing Company whose motto is "Live Life Unfiltered."

The Alchemist & Barrister - A Princeton Tradition for 40 Years
In January, 1974, The Alchemist & Barrister Restaurant & Pub opened its doors on New Year's Day and a Princeton landmark and legend was born. Often called the "Cheers of Princeton," The A&B is conveniently set in an historic building at 28 Witherspoon Street in the heart of downtown Princeton. It's the favorite gathering place for residents and visitors in search of an authentic Princeton experience, plus good food, drink, and fellowship. Students, faculty, executives, university alumni, shoppers, theatergoers, and travelers all find a welcome at this convivial spot.
Memories are made and friendships formed, in its expanded dining areas, traditional pub and the spacious patio area that's open year 'round.
In 2014, the A&B marked its 40th year with with a major renovation and expansion. The ambitious project included a new exterior, revamped entrance and an additional bar with new windows and French doors opening onto the alley and into the new bar.
The A&B is known for its exceptional entertainment and some of the region's top musicians can be found providing live music on Thursday nights from 10:00 pm - 1:00 am and on Sunday from 9:30 pm - 11:30 pm. On Wednesdays, it's open Mic Night.

New beer taps were added, bringing the total number of taps in the restaurant to 50. The A&B has already paved the way for these innovations by renovating and expanding the basement to make space for the new taps and barrels. The project took one year to complete.
The Alchemist & Barrister is the perfect place to celebrate an occasion, entertain corporate clients, or, as many Princetonians have done, choose the A&B to pop the question!
The international menu spans American, Italian, Mexican, Irish and Asian dishes. Enjoy a hearty sandwich or bar snack, a complete dinner or what's rightly known as "the best burger in town." The Alchemist & Barrister offers a full bar. a wide selection of craft beers and a well-priced wine list.
