August 2026

From The Directors Desk

Dear Woodbury,

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far. It’s certainly been a busy one for us at Parks and Recreation.

I want to thank everyone that came out to our Woodbury Celebrates America250 event. We had a number of town departments and organizations come together to celebrate this milestone for our country. It was also the kickoff for our Summer Concert Series, and we are all happy to see so many of you at the park to take in a great show. The attendance for the concerts has been outstanding so far, so I hope we continue to see everyone come out for the rest of the series.

Out in the parks, our maintainers have been busy this summer. Our team is working hard to stay on top of keeping the grass mowed and trails cleared. Also in Three Rivers Park, we consulted with numerous agencies in town to clear some new walking paths which our team will maintain moving forward.

We are currently in the last week of our Summer Camp program, and we have had some really great campers this year. There are still some camp options available for August, so I hope that you check them out before all of the kids go back to school at the end of the month.

This past month, I celebrated 1 year of being your Parks and Recreation director. During this time, I have had the pleasure of meeting many residents and learning what is important to them. I have been working with a wonderful team of hard-working professionals who want to deliver the best for Woodbury. As I have been attending the concert series this summer, I like to take time to walk around and see how everyone is using the park. It truly fulfills me to see so many people enjoying the park as a community, and I know we are all grateful that you take part in these events that we work so hard on.

Sincerely,

Graham Musson

WPR Instructor Highlight - Say Hello to Jennifer Worhle

Jennifer is a certified yoga teacher who has been guiding students of all ages and mobility levels since 2018. She specializes in Chair Yoga, Vinyasa, Yin, Qigong-infused movement, and accessible practices designed especially for seniors, caregivers, and veterans.

Her teaching journey has taken her into senior centers, assisted-living communities, wellness events, and private group and one-on-one sessions—always with the same intention: to make yoga feel welcoming, doable, and uplifting for everybody.

Jennifer is also trained in trauma-informed yoga and is a Reiki Practitioner. She weaves these modalities into her classes through mindful movement, breathwork, and gentle strength-building, creating supportive spaces where students can move with confidence and reconnect with their own inner steadiness.

Her classes are warm, encouraging, and infused with a sense of ease—meeting each student exactly where they are and helping them feel a little lighter, stronger, and more at home in themselves.

We hope you'll join us in welcoming Jennifer to Woodbury Parks & Recreation. Registration is now open for her new Chair Yoga for Strength & Mobility series starting on August 27!
