Berrien Springs, MI - The Berrien County Historical Association is celebrating National Teddy Bear Picnic Day and they are inviting the community to join them on the grounds for an afternoon picnic.

The event will be hosted between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10th. Rain date is Saturday, July 11th at the same time. The event is for free and refreshments will be served.

Families are encourage to bring their own lunches, blankets, and favorite dolly, teddy, or action figure to enjoy a relaxing lunchtime in the shadow of the 1839 Courthouse.

Old fashioned toys will be on display inside the Sheriff's Residence to view by visitors and On the Docket Books and Gifts will be open as well.

The BCHA will follow social distancing guidelines for this event and will turn away anyone who appears sick for the safety of our guests.

The History Center at Courthouse Square is operated by the Berrien County Historical Association and is located in Berrien Springs, MI. Since 1967, the BCHA has operated the five buildings located on Courthouse Square, including the 1839 courthouse, an 1830s log cabin, a recreated blacksmith forge, an 1870s sheriff's residence, and the 1860s county records building.
