Time to Celebrate 100 years!

May 2025 | Issue 69

Join us on Memorial Day to celebrate!

The Wagnalls Memorial was dedicated to the town of Lithopolis and Bloom Township on Memorial Day 1925. In appreciation, Village residents presented Mabel Wagnalls the Loving Cup shown on the left.

Please join us on Memorial Day to celebrate our 100 years. Festivities will begin at 11:30 am after the annual Memorial Day parade that passes by Wagnalls and the memorial service at the Lithopolis Cemetery where the Wagnalls family is entombed. The Wagnalls family was very patriotic, and we continue in that spirit remembering those that have given their all for our freedom.

Annual Meeting and Open House

The Board of Directors of The Wagnalls Memorial invite you to join them for their annual meeting on Monday, May 19 at 6:30 pm in the Rager Reading Room in the Library. A new slate of officers will be elected and brief updates on state of Wagnalls. The Memorial will be open to explore and to share the new opportunities within the Library like the Podcast Studio, a quiet room in Children's for nursing moms, and our new Teen space pictured below.

Many Thanks to All Our Volunteers
