Women in Construction Week takes place March 7 to 13, 2021, and is dedicated to challenging career stereotypes and promoting women in the construction industry.

On Thursday, March 11 from 11:00 am to noon MST, join us as we host a panel discussion with women from our partner network. We'll discuss the contributions women make within construction, learn how our guests overcome obstacles, and celebrate the successes they have experienced.

CEO of the Bialek Corporation since 1981, Joan Bialek transformed a medical supply company and chain of pharmacies into one of the area’s leading companies - encompassing Bialek Environments, an office furniture dealer, and Intellistruct, a prefabricated interior construction firm. In the past 25 years, Joan’s success has been lauded by the Washington Business Journal, Smart CEO, Inc. Magazine and the Wall Street Journal, as well as by trade associations and local publications.
After 20 years in the design industry and over 10 years working in commercial construction, Paula Klein was initially inspired to “Do It Right” in 2011, and SMARTT Interior Construction was born. Today, she is still proud to be SMARTT's chief ambassador for DIRTT, leading the charge to bring a SMARTTer way to build. Paula is a member of the local National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) chapter in Fargo, ND, and continues to make strides in growing the chapter.
Danette Ferretti started her career working on a historical renovation of the Boott Cotton Mills into a National Park museum in Lowell, Massachusetts. She moved to Colorado in 1992 and worked for Davis Partnership designing interiors for medical office buildings, community colleges and corporate environments. After pivotal roles at HOK and Carrier Johnson, Danette joined GMBI in 2018 as their V.P. of Interior Construction and leads the interior construction division DIV13; providing DIRTT prefabricated architectural solutions to clients.
Ginny Rothschild has been leading Workscape and Construkt as CEO since 2019. Prior to Workscape, Ginny worked for Fortune 500 companies such as Gap, Inc, Walmart, and Dick’s Sporting Goods in leadership positions in product development and buying. Ginny has always embraced learning new companies and business models. She is a people focused leader and loves the challenge that each new client and customer brings to the business. Ginny is proud to be leading a Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) business and spends her free time mentoring start up businesses and future business leaders.
Virginia Visser is Principal and Managing Member of Workplace Resource, leading marketing and business development initiatives. Workplace Resource provides high performance interior workplaces ranging from corporate offices to clinical healthcare environments, and higher education institutions to government agencies. The Austin Business Journal 2020 list of women-owned businesses recognized Workplace Resource with a #1 ranking. Virginia served as the 2018 Go Red for Women Chair and continues to serve on the Executive Leadership Team for Go Red for Women.
