World Communion Sunday
The first Sunday in October, United Methodists join Christians globally to celebrate World Communion Sunday. The sacrament of communion symbolizes our unity, regardless of denominations. United Methodists practice open communion, all are invited to the table. Whether you worship at home or at Grace on Sunday we encourage you to share in the bread and cup.
Pastor Appreciation Day
October is traditionally the month we come together as church communities and honor our pastors. Staff Parish Relations Committee is inviting you to participate in this effort by sending notes of gratitude to Pastor Jen.

We will recognize Pastor Jen during the worship service Sunday, October 25.
Church Employee Appreciation Month
Our church community is blessed with great staff! Staff Parish Relations Committee invites you to send notes of encouragement and thanks to our staff. Grace staff members are Andrea Langhoff (children and youth), Brad Wallace (Director of Music), Jacki Kline (accompanist), Ann Hutchings (administrative assistant), Joan Oscarson (treasurer), and Kathy Hansen (custodian). In addition, we have two "volunteer" staff members - Doris Longnecker (financial secretary) and Ardie Morris (hand bells).

Lakes Area Food Shelf
Food Shelf Update from Wayne Holtmeier:
As always we owe many Thank You’s to the volunteers and food/monetary donations from members of Grace Church. Your willingness to support the Food Shelf, in so many ways, to serve our friends and neighbors in need is greatly appreciated. August was the fifth full month under the continued challenges of COVID 19. Year-to-date we have served 193 households. Food donations for August were 1855 pounds. A monthly high for the year. Much of these donations were fresh produce. Thanks to the work of our volunteers there are several changes inside the Food Shelf to make storage and distribution of food more efficient. We hope that after the pandemic has subsided, we can open our doors so you can view the Food Shelf operation. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
