World Water Day Celebration
JEANERETTE, La. -- The Jeanerette Museum will celebrate water on World Water Day along the banks of Bayou Teche. The public is invited to a free performance by the Iberia Swamp Band.

The band will take the stage from 6 - 8 p.m. on World Water Day, Friday, March 22 under the Jeanerette City Park pavilion. The Iberia Swamp Band is a “big band” style of jazz/swing band.

Enjoy a wide variety of tunes, consisting of old style big band charts, modern songs and older popular favorites.

This event is family friendly. You are welcome to bring your lawn chair. No ice chests please.

This program is part of the local Water/Ways Smithsonian exhibit project and a part of Museum on Main Street, a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities made possible through funding from the Walton Family Foundation.
