Warren County Foundation, United Way, and Magnified Giving Inspire Youth Philanthropy

More than 300 students from nine Warren County schools are learning about philanthropy and participating in grantmaking through the Magnified Giving Youth Philanthropy Program, supported through a partnership between the Warren County Foundation and the United Way of Warren County.

Students recently gathered at Kings High School to award grants to local nonprofits after researching community needs and working together to select organizations to support. Nonprofit representatives were present to receive the grants and share how the funding will impact their missions.

Mike McGinty (WCF Interim CEO), Jane Conn (UWWC CEO), and Shannon Jones (County Commissioner and WCF Board member) congratulated the students for their leadership, collaboration, and commitment to their community.

“Lebanon to me is a community of hidden gems. Being a student at Lebanon High School encouraged me to discover and uplift the gems that truly brighten my neighbor's lives. After going through the Service Learning program and the Magnified Giving Youth Philanthropy Program, it became my mission to go behind the scenes and break new ground on those possibilities.”

- Francesca Dishueme, participant in the Youth Philanthropy Program at Lebanon High School and current Magnified Giving Fellow

"With deep gratitude, we thank the Warren County Foundation for your gift to Magnified Giving.  We thank you for your support in the next generation to educate, inspire, and engage future philanthropists.  Thanks to you, youth are developing a deep understanding about important social causes in our community.  Together, we're stirring up action among the next generation and empowering them to give their time, talent, and treasure now and throughout their lives."
