Honoring SV Bridge Players

Sun Valley Bridge players and their families have been in the news. Director Jim Churchill's granddaughters continue to delight audiences with their musical performances. Stephanie Campbell had a great game in the Denver regional. Edwin Williamson was honored by the Metropolitan Club in Washington, D.C., for his years of service in running the club's bridge program.

We'll tell you more about all of this, as well as upcoming lessons, in this e-newsletter.

Kudos on Our Lessons

from Bonnie Larson

We were so pleased to receive this email from Bonnie Larson (BBO: VanBonnie), an online bridge student in Vancouver, Wash. "I just wanted to tell you that I played bridge Monday a few hours after our lesson on Reverse Drury. My partner and I used the convention three times in the course of our game. I love. it when I learn something, and then I'm able. to use it in a game."

Edwin Williamson Honored in Washington

You've probably "met" Edwin Williamson (BBO: EchoDelta), who frequently plays in our Sunday online game with his wife, Kathe (BBO: KatheGWI.) The Metropolian Club of Washington, D.C., recently honored Edwin for his 10 years of service in running the club's bridge program. After Covid, the club introduced a hybrid format, where everyone played online. Some players come to the club, and others joined the game from home.

Congratulations, Stephanie

Congratulations to Stephanie Campbell (BBO: LASoup,) who came in first in her category in the recent "pro-am" event at the Denver regional bridge tournament. Stephanie earned 6.40 red points.

You'll frequently find Stephanie in our online games, usually partnering with Margo Peck (BBO: Wits End.)

You may have met her in person at our retreat at the Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch or our bridge cruise to Lisbon.
