Wyoming Health Council contributes to health and well-being for all, where we grow, live, learn, work and play.
The summer is here and people are stepping out into the beautiful open spaces of Wyoming after months inside. D ata shows ,however, that the number of COVID-19 cases are on the rise across the nation.

The Governor of Wyoming has extended public health orders through July 15, and continues to encourage citizens to practice safety guidelines and wear masks in public. "To reduce the spread of COVID-19, CDC recommends that people wear cloth face coverings in public settings when around people outside of their household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain."

Mask Up Wyoming and stay safe this summer!
Happy 4th of July!

Celebrating the 4th of July may look a little different this year, but everyone can still have fun! For instance, you can make yummy 4th of July foods with your family and watch fireworks while practicing social distancing from your cars or yards!

Get creative while being safe and having fun! Families can read and listen to the Declaration of Independence or take a virtual tour of national landmarks! You could also watch movies about our country's founding fathers. The live performance of the Broadway hit, Hamilton , will be available on Disney Plus or you can find 1776 on other streaming services! The Founding Fathers certainly did exclude many from their vision, so consider exploring key moments in the fight against slavery to educate yourself, your friends and family!

NPR correspondent, Allison Aubrey, suggests to remember four things while celebrating the 4th of July this year: "outdoors is better than indoors; being masked is better than not being masked; and when you gather, think small groups, avoid crowds. And if you are entertaining, tell your guest BYO everything to minimize risks."
Get Your Vaccines Back On Track This Summer

In recent months, families have been doing their part by staying at home as much as possible to help stop the spread of COVID-19. As communities open up, it’s important your child goes in for their well-child visit and catch up on their vaccinations. Many clinics have put safeguards in place to protect their patients from COVID-19, so encourage your clients, family and friends, to contact their local doctor or clinic to set up an appointment today and check out the CDC for more information on vaccines!
