ACEC Advocates for Changes to the Canadian Electricity System

ACEC, along with its stakeholder partners from the infrastructure, manufacturing, natural resources, and energy sectors, is supporting the renewal and expansion of Canadian electricity transmission assets in an open letter to the Prime Minister and to the Provincial and Territorial Premiers. In particular, ACEC supports the call for inter-jurisdictional alignment, which will help expedite major projects that span provincial or territorial borders.

Consulting engineering firms will be critical to the success of Canada's energy transition which will require significant, well-considered investments in the right assets. This is consistent with ACEC’s ongoing advocacy for a national infrastructure corridor and its input into the creation of the National Infrastructure Assessment.
