"Diane Peck successfully partnered with several other state and nonprofit agencies to establish the Alaska Food Policy Council and the Alaska Farmers’ Market-Quest Program.
Diane's passion, knowledge and skills also made the Alaska Obesity Prevention and Control Program possible. It helped to improve the access and availability of affordable, healthy foods.
Her community nutrition activities support and promote:
- farm-to-where-you-are programs,
- traditional and customary foods,
- healthy school nutrition environments, and
- healthy local food systems.
Improving these nutrition environments helps make the healthy choice, the easy choice for all people, which is in alignment with the ASPHN mission."

"Jennifer Dellaport is amazing leader and I have never met such a hard worker.
I experienced her leadership at ASPHN in the Mid-year Meeting Planning Committee, Governance Committee and even a book club activity.
No matter what size of projects she handles, her work shows her knowledge and her effort. She does high quality work. She is very organized and lead the Governance Committee based on the Bylaws! Others can learn from her as a model, a top class public health nutrition leader."

"Diane Golzynski was one of the primary team members to write the Michigan Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) application to the USDA. She worked with all partners to:
- reduce barriers to participation at all levels,
- facilitate access to the program, and
- increase food security from March to June 2020 while schools were in remote learning.
The P-EBT program in Michigan benefited public and non-public school preschool to grade 12 children eligible for free and reduced-price meals. It provided cash in place of the school meals they would have received if schools would have been in session.
Because of Diane's hard work and advocacy within the state team, Michigan was the first state to be approved for P-EBT and Michigan was able to get benefits out before any other state."

"Chris Mornick has excellent leadership skills and uses them throughout ASPHN. She has participated in the ASPHN Growing ASPHN Leaders program, on the Annual Meeting Planning Committee, in the FIG/Mini CoIIN grant program, and on the Policy Committee.
Chris is also doing work on creating a state and community-level coalition to make the state of Washington's Farm to Early Childcare and Education (ECE) program more sustainable.
She has worked to:
- increase public knowledge about Farm to ECE programs and strengthen state agency partnerships that can support Washington’s Farm to ECE program and
- ensure that Washington’s Farm to ECE program meets the needs of historically underserved populations, such as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color communities.
Chris’ work on Washington's Farm to ECE program has the potential to significantly improve fruit and vegetable consumption for young children participating in ECE programs. The improved attitudes and knowledge about fruits and vegetables that can come from Farm to ECE experience are key components to increasing fruit and vegetable consumption both during childhood and throughout the rest of the lifecycle."
