Over 230 years ago, the Declaration of Independence was signed and a celebration quickly ensued.  That celebration has continued throughout the country with barbeques, parades and fireworks. In the Chicago Southland many of our communities have celebrations for everyone to enjoy.        

July 3:

Independence Day Celebration 

Bloom High School Grounds

Special Performance by the Walk Ins. Fun for the entire family. Pre-Fireworks show 7PM; Fireworks show at dusk.

 

Independence Day Parade & Fireworks 

Duffy Park, 95th & Pulaski, Evergreen Park

Come celebrate and honor our Country! Parade starts at 6:30PM. The parade route is from 95th and Pulaski Avenue to 91st Street where the parade will disband. Once again, a spectacular fireworks display will take place at Martin B. Duffy Memorial Park. Fireworks begin at dusk.

Liberty Family Fun Run and Walk & Fireworks

July 3rd Liberty Family Fun Run and Walk is a chip-timed two mile fun run, and one mile fun walk starting at 7PM. On July 4th celebrate with a Final Say concert from 7:15-9:15PM
, with a presentation of colors at 9:15PM followed by fireworks.

4th of July Specials at the Holiday Star Theater

The Holiday Star will be celebrating our nation's birthday. We will have $1 hotdogs. Also, enjoy a free movie and small popcorn, if you paint your face like a flag. 4th of July: Parade, Fireworks and Concert

Round up the whole family and celebrate 4th of July in Park Forest! Schedule is as follows: 6PM - The July 4th Parade kicks off from North Orchard near the Aqua Center.  7-9:15PM - FREE concert by BBI on the main stage on the Village Green (Main St. and Cunningham Dr.). 9:15PM - After the concert turn your chairs around and enjoy the 30 minute fireworks display. Fireworks will be launched from Central Park.
