The American Bridge Company, headquartered in Pennsylvania, originally constructed the East Haddam Bridge in just 14 months, opening in 1913. The very same company is now repairing and expanding the Bridge to improve mechanical operations and add a pedestrian walkway across the CT River.

The Museum is home to a collection of photos that chronicle the original bridge construction and displays the East Haddam Bridge Klaxon, a siren that signaled the opening of the Bridge.
