This Give Miami Day, we unveiled the Britto Houseboat, an art installation by Romero Britto, thanks to Ruth Mitchell's generosity.

Catch it at the Dec. 7 Miami Shores Holiday Boat Parade and the Dec. 14 Winterfest Boat Parade.

Ruth donated the boat to honor her late husband, Carleton Mitchell. Britto transformed it into a joyful, inclusive floating exhibit.

Shake-A-Leg Miami had the honor of attending the final presentations for the University of Miami's Innovation, Technology, & Design course. Partnering with Royal Caribbean International, these talented students pitched creative solutions that could shape the future of inclusion and accessibility.

We were thrilled to welcome a wonderful group of FedEx Cares volunteers aboard the Impossible Dream! Their time and presence brought so much joy and positive energy to our team and mission. Miami Shores Lights Up for a Cause! 

On December 7, Shake-A-Leg Miami joined the magical Miami Shores Holiday Boat Parade, where the true spirit of the season shone brightly. This enchanting event brought together the community in a dazzling display of lights and joy to support patients and families at Holtz Children’s Hospital. 

December has brought wind, waves, and a world of excitement to Biscayne Bay! Shake-A-Leg Miami has become the hub for this season’s exhilarating regattas, where sailors and supporters come together to celebrate the art of sailing. 

The Etchells(Dec 7) kicked off this month with exciting action and breathtaking teamwork, showcasing the skills of elite sailors. Now, the Bacardi Winter Series is in full swing (Dec 9–15), filling the bay with competitive spirit and the joy of community. 

It’s incredible to see teams from across the globe come together for these unforgettable events. Beyond the races, these regattas embody what Shake-A-Leg Miami stands for—promoting accessibility, fostering camaraderie, and celebrating the stunning beauty of Biscayne Bay. 

As we reach the peak of regatta season, there’s still time to join the excitement! Whether you're a seasoned sailor or a newcomer ready to dive in, we invite you to be part of the action.
