Chinese Lunar New Year: Family Program

Have fun and learn about the traditions of the Chinese Lunar New Year. Ms. Peggy Huang, dressed in traditional Chinese attire, will tell the Zodiac story Year of the Rabbit. Children will receive traditional lucky red envelopes during this interactive program.

New Year's Rock-N-Roll Eve: Live Music for Adults

Rock & roll your way into the new year with a countdown — Dick Clark style! Heather Braoudakis will sing our favorite 1950s songs such as Rock Around the Clock, Why Do Fools Fall in Love, Crazy, and Jailhouse Rock.

In the Art Gallery


The artwork of adult painting students and their teachers at the Ruihua (Ray) Chinese School in Lisle is being featured in the Woodridge Library's Art Gallery throughout January. There will be an Artist Reception on Chinese New Year--Sunday, January 22--from 1:30 to 3 p.m., in the Library Lobby.
