Happy Holidays from the PCM Family!

As we celebrate this holiday season, the entire PCM staff wishes you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday season. We are deeply grateful for your partnership, your prayers, and the compassion you extend to neighbors in crisis. Every day, your generosity brings hope to families facing hunger, housing instability, and hardship. Thank you for walking alongside PCM and sustaining this vital work.

In the Community: Students Welding Hope

Across Western Kentucky, high school students participating in welding apprenticeship programs are putting their skills to meaningful use. In partnership with the Association of General Contractors and local high schools, students are welding bed frames that will one day support guests in our new shelter.

A prototype is currently being built at the Innovation Hub, and the enthusiasm from students across the region has been inspiring. This project is giving young people a meaningful, hands-on way to serve their community, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Campaign Update: Renovations Are Underway!

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of individuals, congregations, businesses, and government partners, renovations officially began last month. We are making steady progress toward transforming our facilities to realize:

  • A new drop-in shelter for men, women, and children with on-site resource connections through partner organization
  • A significantly larger, client-choice food pantry designed for dignity and accessibility

We are excited to announce that more than $3 million has been raised, bringing us within sight of our $3.25 million goal. When these new spaces open in Summer 2026, PCM will be able to reach more neighbors, strengthen vital services, and respond to the most urgent needs in our community.

Thank you for believing in this vision.

So Far This Year, You Helped Us Serve…

331 households with rent and utility assistance — preventing homelessness before it begins.

4,381 individuals and families through our food pantry — ensuring access to nutritious food for families, seniors, and neighbors in need.

147 women and children through our Fresh Start Village program — providing safety, stability, and support during crisis and helping families transition to independent housing.

And many more neighbors through outreach, resource connections, and crisis services, especially during the cold winter months, when SNAP benefits were paused, and in the everyday moments when the strain of making ends meet feels overwhelming.

Your compassion has tangible impact. Every number represents a story, and every story reflects hope for a better future.

Serving Our Neighbors in Crisis

This month, we mourn the heartbreaking loss of a community member who passed away due to dangerously cold temperatures. Situations like this remind us why temporary shelter, warm beds, and proactive homelessness prevention matter so deeply.

PCM continues to respond by:

  • Providing rent assistance to keep families safely housed
  • Offering warmth, food, and stability to those in immediate crisis
  • Advocating for expanded resources and community partnership

This work is urgent and helps ensure care and dignity for our neighbors in Paducah.

As the Year Ends, Every Donation Makes a Difference

As we close out 2025, PCM is working to meet our annual operating budget so we can continue offering essential services without interruption.

Every gift helps us feed families, provide shelter, offer assistance to prevent homelessness and offer hope.

Give today and make a lasting impact

From all of us at PCM, thank you for walking alongside us. May your Christmas be filled with peace, hope, and joy.
