Friday evening was a night to remember here in the Southland! SSMMA hosted our first annual gala with over two hundred guests in attendance at Idlewild Country Club in Flossmoor. Guests were dressed their best and included State and Federal Legislators, Cook County Officials, Mayors, Managers, Clerks, Trustees, Associate Members, and friends and colleagues of SSMMA.
Idlewild outdid themselves as usual with their fantastic dinner and dessert! Our dinner program included welcome comments from President Kolosh who thanked everyone for attending and recognized the many dignitaries in attendance. He also took a moment to recognize and thank the 2022-2023 Executive Committee members for their efforts on behalf of the Association.
A special thanks was made to the evening's premier sponsors Comcast, ComEd, Production Distribution Companies, and BNSF for their support of this event. Comcast's Yohan Fernando and ComEd's new CEO Gil Quiniones provided brief remarks reflecting on their commitment to the Southland and SSMMA communities. SSMMA thanked all the many Gala sponsors and raffle basket contributors that generously donated and contributed to the evening's success.
