BIG Milestones = BIG Celebrations!
Happy 1 Year Anniversary to Cyclin' Nutz!
"It has been an exciting year with the challenges of Covid19. We are pleased to say that sales have been better than expected and I was able to expand my business. I now carry Kayaks and bicycles as well as accessories and Mace. We would like to thank everyone that has purchased from us this year and look forward to being able to help more in the years coming."

Cheers to 30 years for Bittersweet, Inc!
This year Bittersweet, Inc. is celebrating its 30th Anniversary at its original location, 1666 Wards Road, just north of Altavista. It was organized by eight area artists who wanted a location to market their work. The founding members were: Barbara Miluszusky, Beth Arnn, Lyndia Goodwin, Arlene Thomas, Melissa Miano, Julie Fellers, Betty Gilliam and Bernice Johnson.

Over the years, Bittersweet has expanded by offering a varied selection of art, furniture, tools, plants, jewelry, pottery, porcelain painting, clothing, china, glassware, photography, floral creations, lamps, every day and holiday decorations and Virginia handmade outdoor Adirondack furniture. Bittersweet combines the patina of the past (antique and vintage) with the zest (new and traditional) of the present, which include handmade and repurposed treasures and gifts.

Since they are considered a co-op, they each own a part of the business, and all take pride in their neat and tasteful display of the merchandise. Bittersweet is known for quality, value, selection and interesting finds within a comfortable price range and pleasant atmosphere.

Arlene Thomas is the only active original member and is currently serving as President. Two long time members are Carolyn Hall, Vice President and Shirley McKeel, Secretary. Darnell Bennett is Treasurer and Deborah Silva is a board member. Newest associates are Nita Reynolds, a porcelain painting artist from Rustburg, VA and Gloria Howard a clay potter from Forest, VA
