City of waterloo neighbourhoods: strong and connected.

Neighbourhood celebrations!

Earlier this summer, neighbours in Lakeshore North held a Summer Solstice Block Party to kick off the season with bubbles and fun for everyone.

There are so many ways and reasons to celebrate with your neighbourhood! Street parties, outdoor movies, park meetups and more.

Inspired to plan something for your neighbourhood? Here's how to get started:

Do you love getting creative? Here's your chance to turn a park picnic table into something special!

Apply to the call for expressions of interest for the neighbourhood picnic table program by July 10.

PS: Thanks to everyone who nominated a park for these picnic tables!

Staying active with neighbours

The Lakeshore South Community Association is bringing neighbours together through a fun, affordable and accessible sports program. Thanks to the volunteers, everyone can stay active and engaged right in their own neighbourhood!

Want to do something similar with your neighbours and get moving together?

We can help! Initiatives like this are perfect for the Neighbourhood Fund.
