Little did I imagine that donating one water well 15 years ago, would result in the changing of so many lives in Cambodia, and ultimately my own, as well.
I wanted to make a difference in a corner of the world where a ripple effect could be created. Cambodia pulled my heart strings on many different levels due to my background and upbringing. Through the years there have been many challenges to overcome BUT with determination and enthusiasm the Dream Team has been formed that continues to flourish and accomplish so much on a daily basis. I am in awe of the numbers of Cambodians that we are helping.
Invaluable is the support team of dedicated Board of Directors and ASEAN advisory panel as well as countless other people that have helped CCDO grow into the outstanding organization it is today. With our total transparency and trust of many donors and grantors, CCDO is on its way to self-sustainability. I am grateful to all those that continue to make the journey with me and give hope and encouragement for a better life.
Here’s to the next 15 years with the team on the ground becoming autonomous that my dream to make a difference continues for many generations.
