Celebrating and Looking Ahead at Nina's Place

In 2024...

1,300+ households

8,700+ records of assistance

350,000+ pounds of food distributed

Countless Lives Changed

One Community Strengthened

As we celebrate two years of serving the community through Nina's Place, it is so important that we take a moment to breathe and consider what we have accomplished, through God's grace and with God's help. From 2023 to 2024, we have experienced unexpected growth that has stretched our capacity: a 75% increase in the assistance we were able to provide and more than double the amount of food we were able to distribute to our neighbors.

This has not come without much sweat, tears, and frustration – simply because there are always more neighbors to help and never enough resources to make the work easy. We are indebted to the dedicated crew of volunteers and staff that make Nina's Place a six-day-a-week operation on Zion's campus and a true community partnership in every way.

As we look ahead to 2025, we have been challenged by a significant cut in the funding we've relied on from our collaborative partners to purchase shelf-stable food and supplies (gloves, wipes, paper towels, etc.) that keep Nina's Place operating as efficiently as possible. To that end, we would like to ask that, as you are able, you consider purchasing items from our Amazon wish list of supplies throughout the year. Your generosity will help us to direct all available funding to feeding and equipping our neighbors.

With all our ministries, it takes a special combination of time, talent, and treasure to make Nina's Place what it is. We are grateful for every good gift God provides and pray for our continued success in loving and serving our neighbors!

🌟 30 Days of Joy Continues 🌟

This January, the Zion community is diving into the uplifting wisdom of "Life is Hard. God is Good. Let’s Dance," our Advent book and discussion, by sharing daily quotes about joy that inspire, encourage, and remind us of God’s goodness even in life’s challenges.

Join us on this journey! Each morning, we’ll post a quote to our Facebook and Instagram pages that helps us find joy in the ordinary, hope in the difficult, and gratitude in every moment. Like them, love them, and share them...joy is meant to multiply!

Baptism of Our Lord

Second Sunday Healing Service

Sunday's festival rejoices in God’s blessings. We recall and celebrate our adoption as God’s children, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and the promised company of almighty God when we “pass through the waters . . . the rivers . . . fire.” On this day the heavens open again for this assembly, and we receive the gift of God’s Beloved, Jesus, in bread and wine.
