Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from all of us at Pendleton Place!

Over the coming months, Pendleton Place will enter a phase of strategic planning as we prepare for our new three-year plan. We look forward to gathering feedback from our community stakeholders in the first half of 2020 and entering the summer with an even bolder outloook for the future! Stay tuned for more developments as the year progresses.
Smith House Bathroom Renovations a Success!

On Friday, January 3rd, Pendleton Place staff, Board members, and community partners gathered to celebrate the conclusion of a successful renovation project at Smith House which updated the two existing bathrooms and added a much-needed second shower for residents.  This was the culmination of many months of planning, hard work, and collaboration.  The saying "it takes a village" was certainly true here and we would like to take a moment to thank some of the many partners who helped make this a reality!

Their generous grant provided the funding for this project.  While we are most certainly thankful for their financial support, we also greatly appreciate their encouragement and partnership throughout the project process.

McMillan Pazdan Smith  Architecture
The interior designers and architects at MPS donated their time and considerable talents to bring this project to life! From conceptual drawings to the actual permit plans, the amazing team at MPS was a crucial part of this success.

DPR is one of Pendleton Place's closest corporate partners, and this project was no exception! DPR was the true hero of this renovation and made sure that we could complete construction on time and within budget. Their many trade partners stepped in as well to lend their expertise to the cause.

With no functioning bathrooms while construction was underway, our Smith House residents were relocated to the Embassy Suites for 4+ weeks.  A huge thank you to everyone there who helped ease this transition for our residents and staff and made Embassy Suites a home away from home for them. Rumor has it that the morning omelet bar was an especially big hit!

A special shout out goes to our Smith House staff (some pictured here!) who truly rose to the occasion, handling any and all challenges that this renovation brought to their daily schedules. Their professionalism and can-do attitude made this a positive experience for all involved.

Not only do our Smith House residents benefit daily simply by having a second shower, but both spaces are now more functional and provide additional space and storage. The updated decor and the attention to detail in the design make these bathrooms a beautiful space that will be enjoyed by many in the years to come.

Be sure to Save the Date for Pendleton Place's new Annual Benefit, a 70's themed event celebrating our founding in 1975!
