Over the past 25 years, we have achieved remarkable milestones that have shaped the landscape of sport, culture, and recreation in southeast Saskatchewan.
In 1999, the Zone 1 Sports Council and the three Regional Recreation Associations in the south east amalgamated into one organization. In 2009, ten years later, the rest of the province had followed suit, and an announcement was made that all 7 Sport, Culture and Recreation Districts had been established in Saskatchewan. We are quite proud of our history and continue to build capacity in communities.
We kicked off our 25th anniversary celebration by hosting our first ever South East Summit last month bringing arts and cultural leaders together to learn and network! Stay tuned for other exciting anniversary celebration activities these next few months!
