Ringing in Democracy!
Every July 4th, descendants of the signers of the Declaration of Independence tap the Liberty Bell 13 times in honor of the original 13 colonies. The United States marks its 250th anniversary this year, a historic milestone known as the Semiquincentennial. Across the nation, communities are coming together to reflect on two and a half centuries of challenges, progress, and shared ideals. This momentous occasion serves as a powerful reminder of the enduring journey toward liberty and unity. Looking ahead, the 250th anniversary is more than just a look back; it is a catalyst for the future. By engaging the next generation in conversations about civic responsibility, the nation prepares to embark on its next chapter with renewed hope and shared purpose.
Happy Birthday America!
