With great sadness we share the news of Graham Tresness passing on June 13th, 2025.
In 2000, Barbara Huntress Tresness’s life was changed forever with the birth of her son, Graham, who was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Determined to connect with him, the family embarked on a global search for therapies that could support meaningful communication.
In 2004, a transformative trip to the Bahamas introduced them to
dolphins and CranioSacral Therapy. What they experienced there was profound, changes not only in Graham, but in each member of their family. That moment marked the beginning of a journey of hope and healing, one that would go on to inspire and uplift countless others.
Inspired by the impact of that experience, Barbara established the
Graham Fund in 2015 through the Dr. John E. Upledger Foundation, with the mission of helping other children access similar life-changing therapies.
Though his time here was brief, Graham left an enduring mark on the world. His story has been shared through a documentary, a book, and a nationally syndicated radio program—spreading his light far and wide. You can read more about his remarkable life here: Graham Tresness.
We are deeply grateful to Graham and the Tresness family for their courage, generosity, and unwavering commitment to help others. Their legacy continues to inspire us, and Graham’s light continues to shine, touching the lives of children and families around the world.
"I have been teaching pediatric classes through UII and speaking about Graham since working with him and Dr. John in 2004. Therapists from all over the world have been touched by Graham's journey". - Carol McClellan
