Celebrating 41 Years of Healing & Hope

Our Celebration Wouldn't be Complete Without You!

For the past year, we've been celebrating our milestone 40th birthday and this month—during Domestic Violence Awareness month—we're celebrating 41 years! And we're not just looking back with gratitude, we're looking forward with excitement for all the lives we will continue to impact.

But we know we couldn't do this critical work without YOU!

Every birthday is better when shared with friends. Here are some special ways that YOU can help us blow out our 41 candles.

Donate today to provide vital services to victims of crime and domestic violence.

Stock AVA’s Closet, our food and clothing pantry, to meet immediate needs for survivors.

Engage on social media — follow our channels and share our posts to raise awareness.

As we join together to celebrate 41 years of helping victims of crime, we're reminded that one of AVA's greatest gifts is our community of generous people who enable our mission—that's you!

With 41 years of gratitude and counting,

We’re proud to share our new video that highlights the heart of our mission—showcasing the programs, services, and dedicated team members who walk alongside victims on their journey from crisis to recovery.

Every Step Counts: AVA 5K Raises Awareness and Support

AVA recently held its second annual Lacing Up for Domestic Violence 5K Run & Walk and Resource Fair in Historic Grant Park. In partnership with the Atlanta Police Department, Spelman College, and the Fulton County Family Violence Task Force, the event brought together runners, walkers, families, and supporters—all united to take a stand against domestic violence.

Participants of all ages joined in the fun, including the younger ones who enjoyed our free kids’ mini dash, while community members explored resources and connected with organizations at the free resource fair.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who ran, walked, volunteered, or cheered from the sidelines. Your energy and support help AVA raise awareness and continue providing vital programs and services to victims of crime.

⛳️ Teeing Up Support🏌🏽‍♀️

AVA continues to tee up hope for crime victims thanks to being selected as a proud beneficiary of the third annual Tee It Up for Women golf tournament!

A heartfelt thank you to Sabrina Jenkins, President and CEO of SJL 26 Event Productions and founder of the golf tournament, and to Norfolk Southern, one of the event sponsors, whose support helps AVA continue its critical work in providing programs and services for victims of crime. It truly takes a community to drive our mission forward!
