Celebrating 65 years

With a new year comes new members on OP's Board of Directors. This month, we are happy to welcome Kate Harahan, Saanii Hernandez, Jamie Jackson and Mike McElroy.
  • Kate Harahan is a Major Gifts Officer with the American Red Cross. Through her career and community roles over the last decade, she has developed a motivational management style and a reputation for bringing teams together.
  • Saanii Hernandez is Vice President of the Women's Foundation of Minnesota. She has worked with a variety of nonprofit organizations including the YMCA, Girl Scout Council of Cannon Valley and Carleton College.
  • Jamie Jackson is Managing Principal of Stairway Partners, LLC. He brings over 25 years of investment experience and has previously worked with Ameriprise Financial, UBS Global Assett Management and Northwestern Mutual.
  • Mike McElroy is President of Real Estate Investments at Ryan Companies. He has over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate and 17 years with Ryan. Mike is also actively involved with the Building Owners and Managers Association, Urban Land Institute and NAIOP.

The Committee of Advocacy and Leadership (COAL) is hosting their annual Sweetheart Dance & Fundraiser on Wednesday, February 14 at the Koch Campus Cafe. Tickets are $10. Self-advocates are required to have a staff escort to support them per their individual needs. If you have any questions, please contact Riah Roe.

It's almost time for spaghetti!

Reminder that the Spaghetti Dinner  hosted by the Hopkins Noontime Lions will be on Thursday, March 1 from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Koch Campus. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for children under 11, and $35 for families of five or more. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit OP. Please contact  Grace Brennan

The Minnesota Families & Advocates Coalition (MnFAC) invites you to their All-State Meeting on Tuesday, February 13 at the Golden Valley Library. For more information, contact them.

The March 13 ARRM/MOHR Day at the Capitol is an annual day of advocacy where more than 1,000 direct support professionals, self-advocates and families will come together at the Minnesota State Capitol to make their voices heard.
