Grow something beautiful with us -
Sponsor a flower bed
Help your business bloom or honor a loved one by sponsoring one of more than 50 flower beds at the International Peace Garden.

As part of our 90th anniversary, the International Peace Garden is offering new opportunities to sponsor our beautiful annual flower beds. Our dedicated horticulture team is planning more than 50 art- and music-themed beds this spring to welcome the thousands of visitors expected in 2022 – creating outstanding visibility for your organization or a loved one you choose to honor through a sponsorship.

Your sponsorship will include:
  • Signage outside the flower bed(s) visible by the 50,000 visitors we anticipate in 2022
  • Recognition on our Facebook page (6,500 followers) and Instagram (1,350 followers)
  • Listing on our website
  • A decal for your door naming you as a 2022 IPG Supporter
  • Option to join two summer tours

Beds can be sponsored at the following four levels:
  • $5,000: Large display beds and iconic specials like the Floral Clock
  • $2,500: Medium-Large display beds
  • $1,000: Medium display beds
  • $500: Small display beds

The past two years have been both filled with opportunities and challenges for the IPG. The expansion of our cacti and succulent Conservatory creates tremendous opportunity even as the long pandemic has limited visitors and revenue. But, the IPG was born during the great Depression, and has weathered hard times before. We know that to grow, we must not only nurture our plants but also, our friendships. Sponsor a bed and let’s grow together. See examples of the planned beds and learn more about sponsorship here. To request additional information, contact
Mark your calendars for our
90th anniversary event July 29-31, 2022
In 1928, Dr. Henry J. Moore of Islington, Ontario had a big, wild idea. A horticulturist and a teacher, he envisioned a ‘place of peace’ in the form of a beautiful garden on the border of the United States and Canada to celebrate friendship. This dreamer worked with the National Association of Gardeners and in 1932, his grand concept – a garden spanning the border of two countries and two governments -- opened to the public. This summer we will celebrate the 90th anniversary of Dr. Moore’s vision – and this unique garden grounded in peace.
Join us to celebrate a vision realized and a long, peaceful friendship between nations. The weekend of July 29-31 will bring the music, artists, food, fireworks and people of our two nations together to celebrate this historic and beautiful gem.
We will post event details on the website as they’re finalized!
We need your stories!
As part of the 90th celebration, we are collecting stories of the IPG. Whether you attended music camp, spent your summer vacation or holidays here, please consider sharing your pictures, stories and videos with us. You can send your stories to
Construction Progress
The foundation is complete and construction on our new Conservatory will continue this spring! This beautiful new facility is on schedule to open later in 2022. More seating and event space will have you visiting throughout the year as we showcase one of the most diverse cacti and succulent collections in the world!

Our Café is also receiving a facelift this offseason and will make your visit that much more delicious!

Our brand-new Children’s Nature Play Area is also nearing completion in June! This one-of-a-kind experiential setup will engage youth and the whole family with themes of the staple animals of the Turtle Mountain region. Climbing the turtle and exploring the beaver dam and lodge are just a couple examples of the experience.

If you’re interested in supporting long-lasting success of these projects through our capital campaign, please reach out for more information by emailing
Tim's Corner
The winds are howling and snow drifts towering as we look west from the front porch toward the Conservatory. Our family has come to relish this other-worldly beauty of the Northern Plains and Turtle Mountain winters. The Garden sees fewer visitors this time of year, but our new cabins and soon-to-open ski trails provide an unforgettable experience we hope to share with you.

The occasional passing moose is always awe-inspiring and one feature that holds us over until the leaves return and flowers begin to bloom. We are open year-round, so don’t forget your snowshoes!

Speaking of blooms! Summer will be here before we know it and we hope to see everyone here celebrating our 90th birthday and toasting to another 90 years! The success of our small non-profit depends on your feedback and support. In February we will begin a new 10-Year Strategic Plan provided by a grant from the ND Department of Commerce. The strategic plan will consider community and patron input to ensure a vibrant centennial and beyond.

We invite you to continue growing with us!

In peace,
Tim Chapman, CEO
