SOT/Sem Graduate Ordained Bishop in China
An ordination in China saw the installation of the first Bishop approved by both the Vatican and China since a provisional agreement in September 2018 between the Vatican and China. Father Anthony Yao Shun , 1998 SOT/Sem graduate with an MA in Liturgical Studies, is a first step toward improved relations between the Holy See and Chinese government.

Fall 2019 New Students Enter Emmaus
Profiles from some of our newest students: in August 26 religious and lay, men and women, from around the world have embarked on a Catholic, Benedictine, theological education.

Alumni Spotlight
The SOT/Sem is pleased to share news of a new publication with contributions by our alumni Jessie Bazan M.Div. '17 and Program Associate for the Collegeville Institute; a book emphasizing themes of sisterhood and speaking the truth, it is offered in support of the future of women in the church.

Professor at the Graduate School of Theology and Seminary, Dr. Kristin Colberg , spent the Winter/Spring semester conducting research into Vatican I teaching. She reflects on sabbatical time, it's importance to research and in support of good scholarship and improved teaching.
