Give Greenery to Honor or Remember a Loved One
We will be greening the church property and the chancel during Advent. Download and print this form (.pdf), or use this online form to make your gift in honor or memory of someone.

Please mail your gift to the office (PO Box 266, Shelby, NC 28151); bring it to the office during Debby's office hours (M,W 9-1) or make a gift online at ascensionlutheranshelby.com or make your gift online.
Join our Women of the ELCA in a Reverse Advent Practice
Often in Advent, we open a daily calendar and countdown through the season to Christmas Eve and the celebration of the Nativity of our Lord.

This Advent, you're invited to commit to a Reverse Advent, adding something each day to a collection for Shepherd's Table. Download and print the list (.pdf)

Boxes for you to take home are available in the church fellowship hall. Please come by the church during office hours (9-1 on Mondays or Wednesdays) to get one.

Then bring your collected items to the fellowship hall on Saturday, December 26 and they'll be delivered to the Shepherd's Table. Financial donations are welcome, too.
Christmas Eve
On Christmas Eve day, the sanctuary will be open from 3 pm - 5 pm. Small groups and families are invited to come in for prayer.

A short candlelight worship will be held outdoors on the front lawn (weather permitting) at 7 p.m. Masks and social distancing are required.

Pastor Christina will lead an online festival worship at 9 p.m. (Zoom and Facebook Live)
Lessons and Carols
Our Lessons and Carols service will be pre-recorded and feature a variety of readers and music. It will premiere at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, December 27 on Facebook and You Tube. It will not be hosted on Zoom and there will not be an 11:45 service that day.
