Librarian Newsletter: February 2022
Greetings!
Black History Month
In celebration of Black History Month, we are giving all readers full, free access to our reviews of over 70 nonfiction and historical fiction books by Black authors from now to the end of February.

We also feature "beyond the book" articles that explore different chapters in Black history -- from Civil Rights champions and Black artists, to artifacts at the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

Interested in a subscription to BookBrowse for your library? We're currently offering special rates for RAILS and Califa consortia members. Don't miss out!

Thank you for reading.

You may also wish to share the graphic of Amanda Gorman (created by BookBrowse). Both images are on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.

All books have a review, a "beyond the book" article, read-alikes and an excerpt. Just click and explore!

Below are a few featured titles to get you started.

You can also explore many other genres of books by Black writers, such as contemporary novels, short stories and fantasy, with almost every book backed by a review, beyond the book article and an excerpt.

You can also get even more specific by customizing your search to filter hundreds of genres, settings, time periods, and themes (for example: Black authors + Adult-YA Crossover Fiction + Set in Africa).

All these filters are available to you for free during February but are normally only available to BookBrowse members and patrons and staff of subscribing libraries.
