Celebrating Career Technical Education month is about recognizing the value of preparing students for the future and sharing the amazing progress we've made in our programs in the Hart District. We are so proud of what we offer students and of the faculty and staff who make these programs stellar. 

Parent University
S.T.R.E.A.M. Kids Expo presents
Parent University. The Event has been rescheduled for April 9th from
6:00pm - 8:00pm at Rancho Pico
Junior High.

Parent University gives the parents of junior high students the opportunity to explore career pathways.

CTE Celebrated District Wide
Golden Oak Adult School Pharmacy Technician Program
Nicole McInteer is a college student at College of the Canyons in Valencia, CA. She is preparing to become a Nuclear Pharmacist, where she will dispense cancer-fighting medications for those affiliated with the disease.

Heroes Through The Flames
Canyon High School student, Lanzet Cruz, created an amazing documentary about becoming a Fire Fighter. The documentary has been shown at schools throughout the district to educate and inspire Engineer, Fire, EMR, and Law and Government students.

Canyon Students Place 2nd in GLANCDA Auto Competition

Hayden Jacobs and Alexis Torres placed 2nd in the Greater Los Angeles New Car Dealers Association (GLANCDA) auto competition.

Students premier their short films at the Los Angeles Landmark Theatre after attending Ghetto Film School.

Golden Valley and Hart High School Selected By Amazon For Education Sponsorship Program

Students at Golden Valley and Hart High School are slated to have the opportunity to participate in the Amazon Future Engineer Program in the 2019-2020 school year.

West Ranch SWENext Club Featured in National Newsletter
Tanja Brosche, of the Los Angeles SWE Section, made it her goal to increase the number of girls enrolling in engineering and STEM classes and this Club has done just that.

Valencia Heath Science Career Pathway Students Travel to Washington D.C. for a Leadership Academy
Juniors Lindsay Whalen and Kate Jetter joined sophomores Joy Peters and Tori Vatcher in our nation’s capital. The students attended several workshops on leadership, cultural understanding, and communication.

Media Day
Media Day 2019
During this unique bi-annual event, students have the opportunity to listen to professionals in the film, television, and animation industries as well as ask question and get advice about future careers.

Sports Medicine Professions Fair

College of the Canyons Sports Medicine and Valencia High School’s Medical Science Academy co-hosted the annual Sports Medicine Professions Fair. The attendees had the opportunity to hear from a panel, representing various aspects of the Sports Medicine field, and visit several booths of our business partners for a more in depth look into each career/medical profession. The day was filled with learning and opportunities for students of all ages to prepare for their future. Over 150 members of our community came to participate in the event.

S.T.R.E.A.M. Kids Expo collaborated with Little Voices to put on an event that empowered girls to know that, "They Are Enough".

A group of specially selected girls were invited to attend a pre-concert pop-up experience. Pop-ups included hair and makeup one on one tutorials, tap dancing classes by Beyonce's favorite duo, Chloe & Maud, and She Talk, hosted by Niamani Knight CEO of S.T.R.E.A.M. Kids Expo.

Manufacturing Day
The William S. Hart Union High School District joined schools and organizations across the nation to celebrate National Manufacturing Day. This year had a new and exciting youth perspective by joining forces with S.T.R.E.A.M. Kids Expo.

College & Career Fair
Annual Hart District College Fair Sees Record Crowd

An estimated 4,000 students and their parents attended the 2018 College & Career Fair at Golden Valley High School. The 8th annual event is put on by the Career & College Readiness department of the William S. Hart Union High School District .
