JOIN US IN SPREADING JOY THIS CHRISTMAS!

As the holiday season approaches, we invite you to join us in spreading joy and hope to the children of Chingele Children’s Home in Zimbabwe. This year, we are planning a heartwarming Christmas party that promises to bring smiles, laughter, and unforgettable memories to the children who call it home.

For many children at Chingele Children’s Home, Christmas is a time of love, joy, and community, but it’s also a reminder of the importance of caring for one another. The Christmas party will feature a festive meal, games, gifts, and, most importantly, a sense of belonging. These children, who have faced many challenges in their young lives, deserve a chance to experience the true magic of Christmas. With your support, we can make this celebration unforgettable.

Our Chingele Children’s Home relies on the generosity of donors to continue providing a safe and nurturing environment for children in need. This holiday season, we are asking for your help to ensure that every child at the home experiences the warmth and joy that Christmas brings.

By coming together, we can show these children that they are not forgotten, and that there is a community that believes in their futures. Your support brings joy and hope, and helps build a brighter future for these young ones. So, let's make this Christmas a truly magical time for the children at Chingele Children’s Home. THE GIFT OF STARLINK

Recently, through a generous donor, we were able to install Starlink at Chingele Children's Home. This is a transformative resource providing high-speed, low-latency internet access. This satellite internet service significantly enhances communication and educational opportunities for the children and caretakers. Witness the excitement as a whole new world unfolds before them!

Starlink allows our children to overcome barriers of living in a remote location by providing access to online education platforms. Our children are no longer excluded from digital learning due to infrastructure gaps, but can now benefit from virtual classrooms and e-learning tools, preparing them for future careers and opportunities. This helps our students stay competitive with their peers in urban centers and enhances their learning experience.

The children have already explored online resources for cake-baking instructions, study tools, crop care, and much more.

BOARD MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

Denny and Marty McGuire returned to the U.S. after a six-day visit this fall to our Malawi campus. The McGuire's have been avid supporters of CLI since 2008 and the Out Patient Department (OPD) where we treat thousands of patients per month was named in their honor. With Denny being an active board member since 2010, he has visited Malawi multiple times bringing family and friends and spearheading various initiatives. Over the years, both Denny and Marty have witnessed the remarkable transformation of a 70-acre barren parcel of land into a thriving 550-acre campus serving a rural, under-resourced 60,000-person catchment area. Their latest trip was such an encouragement to our entire medical team, project staff, and our CEO and Co-Founder, Jeff Rogers.

Denny shared, “During our visit, we toured the facilities and met many of the staff and leaders. There were countless exciting moments, and both the facilities and the people being served left a profound impact of us. It is truly humbling to be part of this incredible work.”

CLI thanks the McGuire's for their continued commitment to serving the people of rural Africa and we encourage you to plan a visit to see the work for yourself!
