Dear Friend of KIPP Baltimore,
 
Earlier this month, in addition to their traditional English language arts and math classes, KIPPsters engaged in a participatory budgeting lesson, launched a new business called Darnell's Steakhouse, and created vision boards rooted in their personal brands and identities.

These activities, and more, were facilitated by more than two dozen local leaders who led guest lessons during our annual College & Career Week.  Thanks to the generosity of our College & Career Week sponsors, M&T Bank and T. Rowe Price, our KIPPsters learned about our guests' journeys to and through college, challenges they overcame on their career path, and the importance of giving back to your community.  
Dr. Wendy Osefo led a conversation on the importance of being proud of yourself and your community.


Ally Villamater suited our KIPPsters up to be future nurses.

Chris Mfume inspired our KIPPsters to become future real estate moguls.

Jay O'Brien discussed video production with the Ravens and brought along his Super Bowl XLVII ring!
