JFS in Greenwich Time: Standing with Refugees

The 2025 JFS High Five for Hope Spring Celebration on May 1 was a resounding success! Held at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center, the evening brought together supporters and community partners to celebrate the vital work of JFS and the power of hope in action.

We are incredibly grateful for your generosity, which helped us surpass our fundraising goal! A special thank you to our honorees, sponsors, and everyone who made the night unforgettable.

Special thanks to all who raised their paddles during the live appeal—your support makes a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.

And thank you to Robert Liflander Photography for capturing these beautiful moments. Click here to view the amazing photos from the evening!

Congratulations to Our Silent Auction Winners! Thank you to everyone who participated in our Spring Celebration silent auction, and congratulations to our winners!

At JFS of Greenwich, we believe mental health is just as vital as physical health. This month—and every month—we stand with those navigating emotional challenges and remind our community: you are not alone.

One of our clients recently shared her journey toward healing and the impact JFS therapists have had on her life:

Her story is a powerful reminder that support can lead to strength. If you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or simply need someone to talk to, we’re here to help.

Last week, Rachel Kornfeld, CEO, and Geoffrey Anderson, CPO, proudly represented JFS at PowerNet 2025: Thriving in a Changing World—the annual conference of the Network of Jewish Human Services Agencies (NJHSA).

They were joined by team members at this impactful multi-day event, which brought together hundreds of professionals and leaders from across North America and Israel to share ideas, explore challenges, and strengthen the field of Jewish human services.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and collaborate with peers from across the field—bringing new energy and ideas back to our work in the Greenwich community.

We are looking for compassionate, committed volunteers to support JFS programs and help strengthen our community. Whether you have a few hours a week or a few hours a month, your time can make a real impact!

Some volunteer opportunities include:

  • Supermarket shopping for older adults
  • Supporting refugee families
  • Assisting in our food pantry
  • Helping at special events

If you are interested in getting involved, email Beth Jabick, JFS Director of Volunteer Services.

THANK YOU FOR GENEROUSLY SUPPORTING JFS OF GREENWICH!
