A Look Back at 2023

We’ve certainly had a busy year! Our Connect the Dots team has been hard at work engaging over 14,000 people across Maine, Delaware, New Jersey, and, of course, our home base of Pennsylvania. This year has seen us break into new fields and service offerings, helping to implement outreach and engagement, but also providing capacity building and strategy support for nonprofits and other project partners. Our team has had the opportunity to work across so many different fields - from placemaking to climate change to aviation. 


Thank you to all of the communities and project partners we have had the opportunity to work with in the past year.. We are grateful every day for the opportunity to bring impact-driven, creative, and inclusive engagement to communities and places across the East Coast.

As we look forward to 2024, we wanted to celebrate some highlights from this year:

2023 Project Highlights

Our team popped up with a “jolly cart” to talk to people in Johnstown PA about the future of the CamTran Transit Center. 


Connect the Dots and Field Team members connected with the Mexican community in the Greater Philadelphia region to share out a survey about travel patterns between Philadelphia and Mexico.


SEPTA’s Bus Revolution wrapped up this year! 


We gathered input on a master plan for landscaping on City Avenue.


Our Conflict Management Guide launched and the team hosted an amazing launch party.

Connect the Dots traveled around Delaware to talk to people about DART's bus network redesign.


We popped up for the Downingtown, PA Comp Plan.


The team got input on the Delaware River Trail in Port Richmond, Philadelphia.


We made our way to Maine to gather input on a rapid transit corridor in Gorham, ME.


Lancaster, PA hosted an exciting Open House to announce their Comprehensive Plan!


Our team crafted an outreach strategy for the William Way Community Center in preparation for a major real estate development project.

Connect the Dots team members helped paint chicanes, curb extensions, and talked about traffic calming in Jersey City, NJ.


Our team gathered input on Philadelphia's Zero Fare Program.


The final report on the future of the Roundhouse came out, highlighting the art-based, trauma-informed techniques we used to engage the public in Philadelphia, PA.


We ate pierogi and talked about complete streets for Aramingo Avenue in Port Richmond, Philadelphia.


Called the Serve CDC, in anticipation of the construction of the Rev. Leon H Sullivan Community Impact Center worked with us to build their capacity.

As our team rests and awaits this new year, our offices will be closed from December 23rd to January 1st. We’re so excited for what 2024 will bring!
