Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide direct support to people with disabilities in their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). DSPs ensure that people are able to live healthy, safe, comfortable lives, while still exerting the highest level of independence possible. At times, direct support work can be physically, mentally, and emotionally grueling. But as difficult as the work can be, many find that it can be equally rewarding. Not everyone who provides direct support is called a "Direct Support Professional." However, 335 FHCRC employees, no matter their job titles, are involved in delivering direct support in some way, shape, or form to the people we serve.
