Festival of Lights: A Diwali Celebration

Diwali is celebrated by millions and millions of people across India and the world. It is a festival of new beginnings, of the celebration of light over darkness, and a chance for auspicious beginnings. 


Come paint clay diyas, make a bracelet, do a colouring sheet, learn how to wear a sari, and more!


Everyone is welcome to this event; there will be activities for all ages.

Join us at the Squamish Public Library as we gather to celebrate Diwali, the festival of light.

Teen Advisory Committee

The library’s Teen Advisory Committee (TAC) is made up of teens ages 14-18!


As part of TAC, you will help advise the library on services to teens in Squamish, plan programs, help library staff with programs and projects, and get volunteer hours!

Family Hour: Sensory Bags

At Family Hour, kids in grades K-3 and their families are invited to the library for an hour of fun!

Introduction to Estate Planning

Sue Bansen and Ellyn D’Uva: Eagles & Ecosystems


Ellyn's wood scultures explore the intricate relationships within natural ecosystems, drawing inspiration from her past scientific studies on topics ranging from Arctic permafrost to coastal predator-prey dynamics.


Sue's wildlife photography is driven by a deep love for observing animals in their natural environments. Her quiet patience and intuitive understanding of animal behavior allow her to get up close and capture intimate, expressive moments that reveal the true essence of her subjects.
