April 2023
Dear Alumni,

As a water scholar, I often think about the concept of the ripple effect — how a small drop on the surface can amplify as it spreads, affecting an area far greater than the initial impact.

In this edition, you'll see that same concept applied to engineering education and the work we're doing at Drexel Engineering. You'll see how Drexel prepared alumni to become leaders in their field, how one alumnus-funded program is helping students afford college and how another is supporting interdisciplinary research, and how our faculty and researchers are making an impact on a global scale.

I hope you find inspiration and affirmation in these stories, and that you are as proud of your connection to Drexel as I am of each of you.

With wishes for a healthy, happy spring,

Sharon L. Walker
Dean, College of Engineering
